Originally from Maine, many in my family worked on the ocean. So it is no surprise that I was first introduced to conservation through Maritime Archaeology. While working with the Underwater Archaeology Branch at the Washington DC Naval Yard, I had the opportunity to work with cannons and various armaments. From there I made the short jump to arms and armor conservation.

Currently, I am working as an Assistant Conservator of Arms and Mechanical Arts at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. In 2023, I graduated from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts and earned my MS in Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and an MA in the History of Art and Archaeology. My focus continues to be on arms and armor conservation, with internships at the Cody Firearms Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Arms and Armor department, and the Royal Armouries Museums.
